Book Review Bookmarks

The bookmark that becomes a record.

Most every bookmark is one-dimensional in purpose–mark where you left off in a book. What happens to the bookmark once the book has been read fully? Forgotten to oblivion or scrapped, most likely. You finish the book, the bookmark goes in the recycling, and three months later you can't remember whether you actually finished that one or just meant to.

These bookmarks are different.

Each one is a complete book review on both sides — title, dates read, notes, favourite quotes. You finish a book, the bookmark becomes a small record of having read it. Flip it over for the next book. Three bookmarks, six books reviewed.

We make these because we believe in the difference between reading a book and finishing one. The first is passive. The second deserves a small ceremony — filling in the dates, writing down the line that stayed with you, deciding what to tell a friend about it.
